Xfinity’s military program can include valuable perks, but one of its own pages says the current offers ended September 30, 2026, while another still advertises them. Read this before you count a free line or a free year of TV as money saved.

Two official pages, two different answers
On October 23, 2026, Xfinity’s military landing page still advertised:
- An Unlimited mobile line for 2 years, included with Xfinity Internet
- An upgrade to Diamond, Xfinity’s top membership tier
- Peacock Premium, included for Diamond members
- NOW TV for 1 year
Xfinity’s military service benefits FAQ describes the same perks, then says: “These offers expire September 30, 2026.” That date had passed when we checked. The landing page shows no end date at all.
We couldn’t find anything on either page explaining the difference. The promotion may have been extended, the FAQ may be out of date, or the landing page may not have been updated yet. Until Xfinity says which, treat the mobile line and NOW TV as unconfirmed for anyone verifying now. If you enrolled before the cutoff, look at the terms on your own account. Don’t assume they changed.
Who Xfinity lists as eligible
Both pages cover active-duty and reserve members, veterans and retired military, Gold Star families, and spouses or family members living in the household of someone who qualifies (landing page; FAQ). The landing page words the first group as active and reserve members of the U.S. Uniformed Services.
This is a perk program tied to your Xfinity membership. It is not a flat percentage off your internet bill. If you only have home internet, the value comes from adding or replacing other services, so check first whether you’d actually use them.
Before you start, write down what you pay now: each Xfinity service, any phone lines with another carrier, and any streaming you pay for separately. You’ll need that list for the math below.
Verifying your status safely
- Go to the Xfinity military page and choose Sign in. If you’re not a customer yet, the page says to become one first, then come back to verify.
- Complete the military confirmation inside your signed-in account.
- Give only what the official process asks for.
- If you’re asked for documents, follow the on-screen list and cross out anything sensitive that isn’t needed.
- Save a screenshot or confirmation of what you enrolled in, with the date.
- Before adding mobile or NOW TV, confirm the offer is still open for your account.
The FAQ says most customers are verified instantly from a few service details. If more is needed, the documents should show your first and last name, a date of birth or a discharge or retirement date, and a clear military affiliation. Xfinity says the full list of accepted documents appears during registration, and it strongly suggests crossing out sensitive information.
Never send ID to plain.tips or post military records, service numbers or a Social Security number anywhere public. Be wary of anyone who contacts you first asking for copies.
For verification-status questions, both pages list 1-833-231-6446. Confirm that number on xfinity.com before calling.
The FAQ also says verification doesn’t move with you. After a move, you have to verify again on the new account and address.
What each perk would be worth
| Listed perk | When it saves money | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Unlimited mobile line, 2 years | When it replaces a line you pay for now | Whether new enrollments are open after Sept. 30 |
| Diamond membership | Only if you’d use the perks | Timing of the upgrade |
| Peacock Premium | When it replaces a Peacock plan you pay for | How to avoid being billed twice |
| NOW TV, 1 year | When it replaces TV you’d pay for anyway | Whether the offer is live, taxes, end date |
| Mobile-only fee | See the note below | Which plan generation your account is on |
Details from the FAQ and landing page:
- The included line requires Xfinity Internet. It applies to phone lines only, not tablets or smartwatches, and is limited to one included line per account. Xfinity says the discount shows up within one to two billing cycles.
- Additional mobile lines start at $30/mo, according to the landing page.
- NOW TV requires Xfinity Internet (not NOW Internet). The FAQ says it can take up to 10 days after verification to appear and calls it “$20 per month savings.” The landing page says NOW TV taxes are extra and pricing is subject to change.
- Xfinity’s pages say the Diamond upgrade takes up to 10 days (landing page) or about two weeks (FAQ).
- The landing page says Mobile Select data may slow after 50 GB during congestion. It also says that if you already pay for Peacock (listed as a $12.99/mo value), you may need to manage that subscription to avoid paying twice.
About the mobile-only fee. The landing page says Xfinity will waive the mobile-only access fee if you move somewhere Xfinity Internet isn’t available. The FAQ gives more detail: the old $25 standalone mobile fee no longer applies to new customers adding a line on or after April 22, 2026 with sixth-generation packages. Existing military members on fifth-generation or earlier plans keep the waiver until they move to a sixth-generation plan. Ask which plan generation you’re on before relying on either version.
Deployment. The FAQ says Xfinity will hold an Xfinity Mobile, NOW Mobile or Xfinity Voice phone number for up to 39 months during a deployment.
Run the numbers before adding a line
If it replaces a line. Say a household pays an illustrative $45/month for one line elsewhere. If an approved Xfinity line truly replaces it, the gross saving is $45 × 12 = $540 a year, or $1,080 over 24 months. Subtract activation costs, any device balance you’d have to pay off, credits you’d lose and taxes. The $45 is an example, not an Xfinity figure.
If it’s an extra line. If you keep the $45 line and add a free one anyway, your phone bill didn’t go down. Your saving is $0.
Streaming works the same way. The FAQ calls NOW TV a $20 per month savings. That’s only real money if you would otherwise have paid for that TV.
What about the $180 card?
Some older posts online mention a prepaid card for verified military customers. Neither of Xfinity’s current military pages mentions any prepaid card, so this guide doesn’t present one as a sign-up benefit. If you were approved for a card under an earlier offer and never got it, ask Xfinity customer service about that specific approval.
What to ask Xfinity
“I’m an Xfinity customer and eligible for military verification. Your military page lists an included mobile line, Diamond, Peacock and NOW TV, but your support FAQ says these offers expired September 30, 2026. Which of these can someone verified today actually get? Please tell me the offer name, the last enrollment date, the internet plan required, taxes, and the price after the free period, and send it in writing before I change anything.”
If you’re already verified:
“My account is already verified for military benefits. Which benefits are active on it now, and how do I claim the rest without losing a discount I already have?”
Keep the reply, the date and any reference number with your account records.
Enrollment checklist
- ☐ Verify military or household eligibility in your signed-in account.
- ☐ Get Xfinity’s list of benefits available on the day you enroll, in writing.
- ☐ Confirm the one-line limit and the internet plan required.
- ☐ Check how long the free period runs on your approved offer.
- ☐ Ask what the regular price will be afterward.
- ☐ Check activation, device, tax and equipment costs.
- ☐ Cancel or adjust any streaming you already pay for so you aren’t billed twice.
- ☐ Look for the credits on your next two bills, and put the end date in your calendar.
A true $0 saving beats a pretend $500 one that came from signing up for something you didn’t need.
FAQ
Does Xfinity offer a military discount in 2026?
Xfinity has a military benefits program and verification page. Its landing page still lists the offers, but its support FAQ says they expired September 30, 2026. Check with Xfinity before you enroll.
Is Xfinity Internet discounted for veterans?
The pages describe mobile, membership and streaming perks, not a percentage off the internet bill.
How do veterans verify for Xfinity?
Sign in through the official military page and complete verification. Most customers are verified instantly. If documents are needed, cross out sensitive details that aren’t required.
Is the $180 Xfinity military card still available?
Neither current Xfinity military page mentions a prepaid card. Don’t expect one when signing up.
How long does the Xfinity military mobile discount take?
Xfinity says one to two billing cycles after adding the line. That’s separate from the question of whether the offer is still open.
